Every trade, message and connection gets a parent thumbs-up first
KidCard is a place for kids to collect, learn and trade, and none of it happens without a grown-up in the loop. Trades, messages and friend connections all wait for a parent’s thumbs-up, and the app is built so there is nothing to approve that you have not seen.
What needs approval
Connecting with another family. Sending or accepting a trade. Sending a message about a card. Listing a card for sale through the family’s CardFlow account. Each one lands in the parent’s queue with the details and two buttons.
What does not exist
No public profiles, no searchable usernames, no open chat, no direct messages between kids who are not connected, no ads, no in-app purchases a kid can make alone.
What we keep about a child
A nickname, an avatar they dressed, their cards and photos, and their trades. Our children’s privacy notice lists exactly what leaves the app and when; the answer is almost nothing, and only between two connected families.
Built with the law in mind
KidCard is designed around COPPA: a verified parent creates the family, controls the data and can delete it. The children’s privacy notice is written for parents to read in two minutes.
Questions parents ask
›Can my kid talk to strangers on KidCard?
No. Kids can only message families you have connected with, and every message waits for your approval.
›What happens when my kid proposes a trade?
Both parents get the trade in their queue with both cards and their grades. The trade completes only after both thumbs-up.
›Can I see everything my kid does?
Yes. The parent view shows the vault, trades, messages and connections, and you can remove any of them.
›How do I delete our data?
From the family settings, in one step. Cards, photos and trades are removed and the children’s records with them.
